Day 1 Bamako

Upon arrival  in Bamako, you are met by tour guide and drive at the airport transferred to your hotel for overnight

Day 2 Bamako–Siby–Bamako

After breakfast, start the day with a drive to Siby, where we will visit the Arch of Kamandjan, known as “the divination cave”. Enjoy lunch, perform the Dogon mask dance and then continue the drive to Bancoumana, one of the biggest towns in the Mande area. We will visit the mosque and, on our way, visit Samako, an authentic Malinke village where we will see geometric, round and rectangular houses, and learn about their significance. Return to the Hotel for dinner and Overnight.

Day 3 Bamako and Vicinities

After breakfast, you will discover the city of Bamako including the overview of the city from Point G Hill, also known as the “Hill of Health”; visit the National Museum, which provides an excellent depiction of the ethnic diversity of the country; visit the recycling market, where local artisans turn old metal into other creative products. At the city’s craft bazaar, we will see sculptors, weavers, leather workers, jewelers and metalworkers exhibiting their wares and displaying their skills. One area of the market is devoted entirely to traditional African medicines. We will find the freshly shrunken heads of birds, monkeys, and crocodiles, along with lizard skins.

You will discover the significant monuments related to history and culture: The warrior monument in Dogoduman, the hunter’s monument “Kondron an Sane” Today you visit the place where we have the hair braiders and take pictures of them. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 4 Bamako–Departure

Depending on the flight time, you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home
