  1. Day 1: Arrival in Niamey

    On arrival in Niamey, you will be met, assisted, and transferred to your hotel.

    Hotel : TERMINUS or Grand Hotel

     

  2. Day 2: Visa Process

    Today will be devoted to visa processing and a visit to Niamey city and sailing on the Niger river. Excursion on the Niger River to visit the fishing villages and hippopotamus, museum, and center of Niamey.

  3. Day 3 : Flight: Niamey-Agadez (2 or 3 hours)

    The domestic flight to Agadez has imprecise schedules, either you go directly to Agadez, or you go through Zinder. So, your arrival in Agadez 10 h 00, does not have precise times. Nevertheless, the evening in Agadez will be devoted to the visit of the city partly by the great mosque, the imposing minaret of the city- the historical city classified as world heritage by UNESCO.

  4. Day 4 : Agadez – Bianou indigo ceremony

    Agadez indigo dance and olg city unesco Agadez is a historical city with a very rich culture, whose ancestral tradition has been preserved for hundreds of years. The city is very cosmopolitan, with Hausa and Tuareg living side by side, but the various customs make this city an exceptional jewel. We will devote a day to demonstrations of these traditions by the local women’s group dances and initiation of young people to the indigo turban under the supervision of Tambari, supreme chief guardian of the culture and curator of the Bianou dances.

  5. Day 5 & 6: Gerewol Festival

    Assist the Gerewol festival. After breakfast, drive to the festival site of Gerewol between Abalak and Agadez. The Gerewol Festival is an annual courtship ritual competition among the Wodaabe Fula people. Young men dressed in elaborate ornamentation and made up in traditional face painting gather in lines to dance and sing, vying for the attentions of marriageable young women. This oldest tradition remains a challenge for young people. But above all, it’s a source of pride to come together at the big gathering to prove one’s identity: the cult of beauty. You will spend 2 nights on the site in a tent. Day 5 return to TAHOUA for the night in the evening to your hotel room and shower.

  6. Day 7: Gerewol site – TAHOUA

    Today, we take leave of our Fulani friends, end of our participation in gerewool, 5-hours’ drive to come to . Transfer to Tahoua, via the pond of Tablak and some nomadic Tuareg camps. We will make stops on the way for visits. Overnight at Tarka hotel or Marianne hotel in Tahoua half board.

  7. Day 8: Yaama -Dogon doutchi or Dosso

    We leave Tahoua with a stop in smalls villages like Yama Hausa village with a Sudanese style architecture. Here several imposing little mosques that marked the village got the prize: Agha Khan. Lunch on the way in Birni Konni . The work on the road is a project promised by the state of Niger, and we hope it will be completed before this festival period. If not, we’ll shorten the journey and spend the night in Dogon Doutchi. The night will be spent in a camp (which we call a hut), in a clean room with a shower, and the meal will be in a small local restaurant with a typical atmosphere (with waitresses serving Togolese and Beninese beer).

  8. Day 9: Dosso-Kouré-NIAMEY

    Via Dosso, there will be a stop at the Djermakoye Palace, the Honorable Sultan Djerma. We will leave the off-site to join kouré grazing area of the last herds of giraffes from West Africa in freedom. Perfect cohabitation with the nomads and sedentary Visit Niamey in the afternoon between the MONUMENTS and souvenir shopping. Last meal before transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

  9. Day 10: NIAMEY-depart

    After breakfast, the day is at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
