Kenya (Samburu-Shaba National Reserves, Ol Pejeta Sanctuary, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara National Reserve)

This safari takes you north past the Equator to the Kenyan hotter region that hosts spectacular rare Special Five wildlife species and Ol Pejeta Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to the highly endangered last northern white rhino on earth and chimps. Back down south, a cooling break at Lake Naivasha will then take you back to the Big Five “Simba” country of Masai Mara. Stay at luxurious 5-star lodges & camps all the way.

Activity

  1. Day 1 ARRIVE IN NAIROBI – KENYA (45 Min)

    Upon arriving in Nairobi, Kenya, you will be warmly welcomed inside the airport by our representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it. Accompanied by your assistant, you will be guided through immigration, baggage collection, and customs. After clearing customs, our English-speaking representative will brief you on your customized program, answer any questions you may have, then accompany you in our private vehicle to your hotel in Nairobi. The rest of the day will be at leisure.

  2. Day 2 SAMBURU-SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE (5 HRS)

    After breakfast depart for Samburu-Shaba-Buffalo Springs eco-system. You will cross the equator along the way and into the northern hemisphere. 1300 hrs.: Arrive at the reserve for lunch at the Lodge. After a brief afternoon rest, you will then embark on an afternoon game drive which runs until sunset when you return to your lodge for an evening’s rest. Overnight at a lodge in Samburu-Shaba

  3. Day 3 SAMBURU-SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE

    Full day at Samburu-Shaba National Reserves; with early morning and afternoon game drives. This sanctuary is famous for rare wildlife species known as the special five: gerenuk giraffe antelope, reticulated giraffe, blue Somali ostrich, grey’s zebra and majestic long-horned beisa oryx. Mt. Koitogor & Ololokwe provide a majestic backdrop to the desert plains. Optional activities available (at extra cost): · Visit to a Samburu Village Overnight at a lodge in Samburu-Shaba

  4. Day 4 OL PEJETA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY (4 HRS)

    After breakfast depart for Ol Pejeta Sanctuary. 1300 hrs.: Arrive in time for Lunch at the Lodge. After a brief afternoon rest, you will then embark on an afternoon game drive which runs until sunset. This is the last abode of the critically endangered northern white rhino A chance to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Overnight at a lodge in Ol Pejeta

  5. Day 5 LAKE NAIVASHA

    After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha. 1300 hrs.: Arrive in time for Lunch at the Lodge. The rest of the afternoon is spent at leisure. Optional activities include.

    · Nature Walk & Birding

    · Boat Ride to Crescent Island Overnight at a lodge in Lake Naivasha

  6. Day 6 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE (5 HRS)

    After breakfast depart for Masai Mara. 1300 hrs.: Arrive Masai Mara for Lunch at the Lodge. After a brief afternoon rest, you will then embark on an afternoon game drive which runs until sunset when you return to your lodge for an evening’s rest. Overnight at a lodge in Mara

  7. Day 7 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

    Full day at Maasai Mara National Park; with early morning and afternoon game drives. After a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge, depart for a full day’s adventure. Be on the look-out for the big five that Masai Mara is famous for; these include the lion, savannah (African) elephant, the Cape buffalo, the leopard, and the black rhino. Be on the lookout for any game that may have eluded you on your previous game drives.

    You may even be so lucky to witness a leopard or a cheetah sprint and make a kill! Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Ideal at this season is the migration that you may witness when lucky and possible river crossing.

  8. Day 8 NAIROBI CITY (5 HRS)

    After breakfast, the last morning game drive follows as you exit the sanctuary. Drive back to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon for a sumptuous Kenyan-themed Lunch. The rest of the day is spent at leisure. Dinner on own arrangements

  9. Day 9 DEPART

    After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to catch your onward flight. End of your Kenya Safari.
