  1. DAY 1: ARRIVE IN DAKAR, SENEGAL

    Upon arrival at the Blaise Diagne International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Relax and unwind for the rest of the day.

  2. DAY 2: DAKAR – GOREE – DAKAR

    After breakfast, we depart the hotel to the Gare Maritime Port where we go on a 20 minutes sail on a ferry to Goree Island. The tour includes a visit infamous slave house, the ethnographic museum, and a briefing by the curator on the history of the Goree, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through the narrow streets to explore this historical island.

    In the afternoon, we cruise back to Dakar and go on a short city tour including the Renaissance Monument and the Museum of Black civilization. We return to the hotel. This evening dinner in a local restaurant for a taste of authentic Senegalese cuisine.

  3. DAY 3: DAKAR – PINK LAKE – BANDIA – SOMONE

    After a well-deserved breakfast, check out and depart to Bandia game reserve. We stop to visit Pink Lake, a rare natural phenomenon caused by a unique combination of microorganisms and a high concentration of salts which gives the lake its unique pink color. Interact with the salt harvesters.

    Get on quad bikes and enjoy adventures in the sand dunes.

    After lunch, we continue to Bandia National Park, an ecological jewel not far from Dakar. Bandia Game Reserve is located in a 3500-hectare-wide conservation area. Embark on an unforgettable Safari where you will see numerous animal species native to Senegal including buffalos, antelopes, impala gazelles, monkeys, tortoises, and crocodiless in addition to white rhinoceros, kudu, elands, cape moose, giraffes, ostriches, zebras. Stop by the crocodile pool where animals come to drink and buffalos wallow in the mud. You will see numerous bird species including small hornbills, grey herons, eagles, blackbirds, and kingfishers. Continue to Samone overnight.

  4. DAY 4: VILLAGES DISCOVERY

    Following a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit surrounding villages and see the splendid and peaceful nature and indigenous life of the local people. Visit a local school and see village life up close.

    Late afternoon visit the fishing port of Mbour, where you’ll see the fishermen returning from sea after their usual fishing excursion. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

  5. DAY 5: SALY – JOAL FADIOUTH – SALY

    After breakfast, we depart to Joal, famous partly because it is the birthplace of Senegal’s first President Leopold Senghor. Visit Senghor Museum before continuing to the traditional Serere village of Fadiouth where you will see the cathedral, the sacred Baobab tree, and the famous cemetery where Muslims, Christians, and Animists are buried side by side.

    After lunch, return to Saly and enjoy a scenic cruise on the Someone Lagoon as you spot exotic birds and enjoy the splendid nature and serenity.

  6. DAY 6: SALY – DAKAR – DEPART

    Enjoy the day at leisure. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
