What You Should Know

Senegal Travel Restrictions – All persons authorized to enter Senegal must present proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 issued no later than 5 days before departure from the country where you started your trip and authorized by that country or a recognized health organization.

All land and sea border control points (between Gambia, Mauritania, and Mali) are open, except for the southern border between Senegal and Guinea which is temporarily closed.

The majority of international airlines have resumed commercial landings in Senegal.

Internal Restrictions:

  •  Travel within Senegal: There are currently no restrictions on travel between regions, and authorization is not required to travel between regions. Internal flights have also restarted. Masks must be worn at all times in public areas and when traveling, including in a private car if there are two or more people in the car.
  • Accommodation: hotels are open.
  • Public places and services: Masks should be worn in all public spaces in Senegal, including supermarkets, public transport (which always operates at reduced capacity), taxis, and public roads.
