Day 1 Windhoek, Namibia
Arrive Windhoek; meet assist and transfer to Hotel.

Day 2 Sesriem
Depart this morning from your hotel and drive along the scenic Gamsberg Pass to Seiriem, gateway to the dune desert. En route experience the ever-changing landscapes as the terrain becomes more arid. A picnic lunch is included.

Day 3 Sesriem
In the early morning you take a journey of discovery along the ancient riverbed of Tsauchab River to its end at the famous Sossusvlei. This clay pan is surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes on earth. Before returning to your lodge for overnight, explore the impressive sandstone gorges of the Sesriem Canyon. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure around the swimming pool or join optional activities.

Day 4 Swakopmund
Travel to the picturesque Kuiseb Canyon and the Namib-Naukluft-Park to the Atlantic Ocean Coast. Travel via the harbor town of Walvis Bay and along the coastal dune belt to Swakopmund, Namibia’s foremost holiday resort, arriving around lunchtime. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the historic town of Swakopmund on your own. The hotel is situated in easy walking distance of all major attractions such as the beaches, the Crystal Gallery, the Natural History Museum, historic buildings and handcraft shops.

Day 5 Skeleton Coast Region
Today’s activities start off with an excursion into the central Namib Desert. Here you become familiar with the ancient Welwitschia mirabilis plants on the vast gravel plains and the Moon Valley near the Swakop River. This river is one of the longest and broadest of the country’s ephemeral waterways. The journey continues north along the Skeleton Coast with its lichen fields and salt works to Henties Bay, an angler’s paradise, or check-in at a cozy seaside hotel for a lunch break In the afternoon, visit the Diaz Cross and the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, one of the largest of its kind in southern hemisphere.

Day 6 Khorixasz
After an early breakfast, proceed into Namibia’s northern interior. Pass the impressive Brandberg Mountain and the former tin mine village of Uis into the scenic Damaraland. A lunchtime break at the Twyfelfontein Lodge provides the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal (optional) while on alert look out for the rich birdlife, free-roaming herds of springbok and even the famous desert-dwelling elephants, which have made their home in the river valley. Explore the magnificent landscapes of the central Huab River Valley and its many attractions during a guided afternoon excursion. The pre-historic rock art galleries at Twyfelfontein, the Burnet Mountain and the Organ Pipes are all parts of the rich natural history of this area.

Day 7 Etosha National Park
In the morning, visit a Petrified Forest en route via Khorixaz and Outjo to the Etosha National Park. A midday break at the Okaukuejo Rest Camp is followed by your first game viewing experience. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Etosha National Park
Spend the entire day on game drives only interrupted by a mid-day break at either the Namutoni or Halali Rest Camp. The par’s expanse of more than 20,000 square kilometres is comprised of a variety of landscapes and habitats. At the center lie the vast and the barren Etosha Pan, the “place of dry water”. Almost all Southern African game, reptile and insect species may be encountered in Etosha, including bird species complemented by immigrants during the African Summer. Elephant, black rhino, lion, zebra, black-faced impala and countless other species commonly frequent waterholes at the rest camps, which are lit after dark.

Day 9 Outjo Region
Enjoy a mid- day break at one of the rest camps which provides the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the pool or relax at the waterhole or restaurant during the hottest hours of the day. The tour leaves the park in the late afternoon and travel to Outjo for overnight.

Day 10 Windhoek
The journey continues south through the farming heartland of the country to reach the Ombo Ostrich & Crocodile Farm near Okahandja in the time for a sightseeing tour and a mid-day break. An optional light lunch is available and some souvenir shopping may be enjoyed. After the break proceed to Windhoek in the late afternoon. Transfer to the airport for your flight or depending on your flight schedule you may be forced to overnight in Windhoek and depart the following day.
