  1. Day 1: ARRIVAL IN TUNIS (10KM/30Min)

    Touch down in Tunis and get settled. After you land, someone will pick you up and take you to your hotel. It is your first night in Tunisia’s capital, so just relax and get adjusted to the area.

  2. Day 2: TUNIS – DOUGGA – KAIROUAN (230 KM/TOTAL TIME 3 HOURS)

    Start early heading south to Dougga, one of North Africa’s best preserved Roman sites. You will walk through the ancient theatre, Capitol, and check out the intricate mosaics scattered around. Then it is a drive to Kairouan (the spiritual capital) where you will grab lunch and afterward settle in for the night.

  3. Day 3: KAIROUAN – SBEÏTLA – GAFSA – TOZEUR (320 KM/ TOTAL TIME 3
    HOURS)

    Leave Kairouan and drive south to Sbeitla to see its impressive Capitol and Byzantine remains. After lunch near Sbeitla, you will head toward the Sahara Desert on a scenic route, arriving in Tozeur by evening for dinner and an overnight stay at the desert’s edge.

  4. Day 4: TOZEUR – CHOTT EL JERID – DOUZ

    Spend the day around Tozeur exploring dramatic desert landscapes. A drive takes you to Chott El Jerid salt lake where the shimmering surface is something to see. Optional activities like sand yachting are available depending on weather. After lunch, consider hot air balloon rides over the palm trees or quad bike excursions if you are interested, then stay another night in Tozeur.

  5. Day 5: DOUZ – TAMEZRET – MATMATA – TOUJANE – TATAOUINE(230KM/
    TOTAL TIME 3 HOURS AND 30 MIN)

    Head deep into the Sahara discovering Berber architecture and film history. Matmata is your first stop, famous for underground homes you can walk through (yes, the Star Wars location). After lunch in a traditional troglodytic dwelling, you will explore Tataouine and its iconic Berber Ksars before spending the night under the desert sky.

  6.  Day 6:  TATAOUINE – GAFSA – GABES – SFAX

    This day is travel as you transition from ochre Sahara back to the Mediterranean coast. You will leave early from Tataouine and drive northeast through Gafsa and Gabes, watching the landscape shift from desert to sea. Grab lunch en route in Gabes (a coastal oasis), then arrive in Sfax by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

  7.  Day 7:  SFAX – EL JEM – ZAGHOUAN – OUDHNA – TUNIS (290 KM/TOTAL
    TIME 3 HOURS AND 40MIN)

    Head north from Sfax stopping at two major Roman sites. First comes the Amphitheatre of El Jem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that shows how wealthy ancient Thysdrus was. After lunch, continue north through citrus and olive groves, stopping at Oudhna to see its Capitol and amphitheatre. By late afternoon you are back in Tunis for dinner and overnight.

    Spend the full day in Tunis exploring history and culture. Morning takes you through the Bardo National Museum, which has the world’s largest collection of Roman mosaics. In the afternoon, wander the narrow streets of the UNESCO-listed Medina, checking out bustling souks filled with spices, textiles, and local crafts. Dinner and another night in Tunis.

    Short drive north from Tunis gets you to Carthage with its ancient Phoenician and Roman heritage. You will see scattered ruins including the Punic Ports and Antonine Baths, then climb Byrsa Hill for views over the Gulf of Tunis. After lunch near the coast, head to Sidi Bou Said, a charming village known for whitewashed buildings and blue accents. Have traditional mint tea overlooking the Mediterranean before returning to Tunis for dinner and an overnight stay.
