Botswana, is a landlocked country located in Southern Africa. Botswana is flatland; 70% is covered by the Kalahari Desert. It is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast. Its border with Zambia to the north near Kazungula, Zambia is poorly defined but at most is a few hundred meters long. A mid-sized country of just over two million people, Botswana is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world.

Chobe National Park

Chobe national park is one of the few places in Africa where you can see a great concentration of elephants, rhinos, hippos, and even lions. Taking a tour at Chobe is definitely a lifetime experience that is fun and exciting. The mopane forests and the marshes present in Chobe national park provide the perfect possible habitat for a variety of animals to thrive on. The area that spans up to eleven thousand kilometers is definitely a great habitat for diverse species.

Moremi Game Reserve

Situated at the eastern section of the Okavango delta, the Moremi game reserve spans to almost five thousand kilometers and serves as a refuge for the highest concentration of leopards and endangered African wild dogs all over the globe.  The concentration of floodplains, lagoons, acacia forests, and mopane woodlands offer the tourists a diversity of sites to feast their eyes on. Not to mention the variety of wildlife available that freely roam around the game reserve.  Great forests and lakes that are very clear are present in Moremi game reserve which enables different kinds of species to thrive.

Okavango Delta

Okavango, compared to other parts of the world has remained virtually unchanged for more than sixty five million years which means that the delta is a remnant of the earth’s formation and existence for millions of years. Witnessing the beauty of the delta and the availability of different kinds of species that inhabit the place is a very rewarding and amazing experience. Being able to see for yourself the beauty and the presence of the great diversity available is a lifetime experience that you could never forget. The Okavango River is also another spectacle that you should not miss. The river can either be accessed by boat, by plane, or even by mokoro. The Tsodilo Hills are also a must see when in Okavango Delta. The site which is adorned with more than four thousand paintings has been declared as a UNESCO world heritage site.
