Kilaguni Serena Lodge
Location: Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is located within the Tsavo West National Park (a short drive from the main Mtito Andei Gate), which lies 280 kilometers from Nairobi.
General Description: Superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro and sheltered by the volcanic splendor of the Chyulu Hills, this classic stone-built lodge overlooks its own water hole, which is visited daily by elephants, buffalos and a wide variety of plains game. One of the first lodges ever to be built in a national park, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-viewing. It is also ideally placed for visits to all the park’s prime attractions.
Accommodation: Our luxury ensuite rooms are accommodated either in a double storey block overlooking the waterhole, in a series of cottages to the right and left of reception, or in a building dedicated entirely to our selection of luxury suites. Surrounded by shaded gardens, all the rooms enjoy views, either of the waterhole or the Chyulu Hills. Each tastefully-appointed room features natural volcanic stone walls, king-sized bed or luxurious twins, lavish all-encompassing mosquito-curtaining, bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and private veranda.
Dining: The central dining room, which is partially open-air, overlooks the water-hole and features a stone-built viewing terrace. The open-air, rock-built bar also overlooks the water-hole and features relaxing day beds with glorious views of the Chyulu Hills.
