Rwanda Gorilla Tracking, 4 Days

Day 1 ARRIVE KIGALI, RWANDA

On arrival in Kigali, you will be met, assisted and transferred to Kinigi at Parc National des Volcans to stay two nights at the Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge, all meals included (Drive time approx 2½ hours). If time allows you may do an optional city tour and have lunch in Kigali. ^back to top

Day 2 PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS

After an early breakfast, you will be briefed on conduct during gorilla tracking, trackers will then lead the way to the forested slopes to seek one of the groups of Mountain Gorillas. Afterwards, you will be given a tour of the scenic panoramic volcanic lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight at your lodge. ^back to top

Day 3

After breakfast you will be taken on your second Gorilla tracking excursion. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Kigali to stay overnight in the Hotel Milles Collines or similar. The Milles Collines is famous as the sanctuary which saved many hundreds of people during the genocide. It is largely unchanged. It has a super pool and rooftop restaurant, and is now internationally renowned with the recent release of the quite moving feature film, 'Hotel Rwanda', which is set in the hotel during those unspeakable times. ^back to top

Day 4 KIGALI/ DEPARTURE

After breakfast, decide on your activities with the assistance of your driver and guide, later transfer to the airport for your onward flight. ^back to top
