Wonders Of Kenya & Tanzania 16-days

Day 1

NAIROBI
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

NAIROBI
After breakfast, depart for a tour of the city and its environs. You will visit the Karen Blixen and the National Museums, the Giraffe center to hand feed the giraffes and the Uhuru gardens. Proceed for lunch at the Rangers Restaurant located within the Nairobi National Park. Thereafter transfer to the Snake Park and a city market before returning to your Hotel.

Day 3

ABERDARES
After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up after breakfast for the drive to the Aberdares. Arrive at the Outspan Country club for lunch. In the afternoon you will be transferred in the lodge’s vehicle to the Treetops tree lodge for a night of game viewing from the deck overlooking a floodlit water hole. Viewing hides allow you to approach the animals for close up photography unspotted.

Day 4

MOUNT KENYA
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mount Kenya, arriving for lunch at the Mount Kenya Safari Club. Spend the afternoon in the beautifully manicured grounds either spotting the over 300 birds species or exploring the forest and moorlands with the lodge naturalist. You may also sign up for a visit to the animal orphanage and horse back riding. Trout fishing licenses can be obtained from the hotel.

Day 5

LAKE NAKURU PARK
After breakfast, drive via the beautiful Nyahururu falls and down the floor of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected game sanctuary for endangered species such as the Black/ White rhino, Rothschild Giraffe among other usual game such as the leopard and Lion.

The park is world-renowned for its millions of pink Flamingoes found around the lake. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a games drive until sunset.

Day 6

MAASAI MARA
After early breakfast, morning drive across the Rift Valley escarpment to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at your Lodge / Camp. The common language of the Masai is Maa in which the word Mara means spotted-referring to the clusters of bush which dot the plains. Take an afternoon game drive within the reserve until sunset.

Day 7

MAASAI MARA
During your two days, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in depth. You will see elephant, giraffe, prides of lion, and thousands of impala, topi, grant's and Thomson's gazelle. The Mara is the scene of annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grass.

Day 8

LAKE VICTORIA
After breakfast, we will drive down to the Kenya Tanzania border. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the shores of L.Victoria or in the town of Isebania. You may enjoy an Optional activity of a boat trip or a bird walk. You will then proceed to the lodge for overnight.

Day 9

SERENGETI
After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for a game drive to Africa's most famous park - the Serengeti. We have two full days to explore its 5,600 sq. miles. We will see cheetah, giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant - the list is endless. And each year it is the scene of the great migration where millions of wildebeest and zebra make their annual trek in search of fresh grass. Serengeti National Park is the Africa most of us have seen on television. Many National Geographic specials have been filmed here. Now we can see first hand why so many naturalists and photographers are drawn to this place.

Day 10

SERENGETI
After breakfast, depart for game viewing at the Serengeti National Park with an option of picnic lunch. The “Great Serengeti” is likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its unique combination of diverse habitats enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds.

Day 11

NGORONGORO CONSERVATION
After early breakfast, enjoy a morning drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Ol Duvai Gorge (the cradle of mankind), to arrive for lunch at the Lodge. Ngorongoro's caldera shelters the most beautiful wildlife haven left on earth. The Maasai and their cattle co-exist with the wildlife in this area, and visitors are able to appreciate this ancient interplay between wildlife and man. Within the walls of the crater lie short grasslands, swamps, forests and a fresh water lake, inspiring continual migration of animals.

Day 12

NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, descend for a game drive on the crater floor where you experience the ‘lost world” of Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking experience. The Ngorongoro Crater is dubbed the "eighth wonder of the world. From your four-wheel drive vehicle, you’ll have an opportunity to spot the “big five” – buffalo, elephant, leopard, the black maned lion and the endangered, rare black rhinoceros –as well as zebra, wildebeest and gazelles. Return to the lodge for diner.

Day 13

LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast, depart for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive in good time for lunch at your lodge. Later depart for an afternoon game drive through its Mahogany forest; marsh, grass and scrubland, which are home to many species of birds that populate this magnificent, tangle of vegetation. The park is famous for the tree-climbing lions that inhabit its forests.

Optional village walk may be requested upon arrival.

Day 14

AMBOSELI
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Namanga Border crossing point with picnic lunch boxes. After border formalities, you will proceed to Amboseli National Park with your guide, arriving in time for your evening game viewing drive.

Overnight at the lodge.

Day 15

AMBOSELI
Spend another day in Amboseli National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. This park is renowned for having the largest population of elephants. You will see a proliferation of giraffes and elephants. The 56 species in this park include Baboon, velvet Monkey, Lion, Cheetah, Zebra, Wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle.

Day 16

AMBOSELI/NAIROBI/DEPART
After breakfast, depart for the drive back to Nairobi with a game drive en route. Arrive in time for lunch on own account. Afternoon at leisure. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
