Day 1 ARRIVE IN ZIGUINCHOR

Arrival in Ziguinchor, Senegal. Transfer and settle into your guesthouse. ^back to top

Day 2 ZIGUINCHOR

Tour of Ziguinchor. Visit the Escale Market, the fishermen's port, the peanut mountains, the city center and its colonial houses, the famous Boucotte neighborhood, the St. Maur Market and the French Alliance. After lunch, depart to the antique village of Niaguis-Fandang. Stop in this typical fishing village and walk along the river shores. On the way back we will pass through the multiple cultivation fields. ^back to top

Day 3 ZIGUINCHOR / CASAMANCE RIVER / DJILAPAO / AFFINIAM / ZIGUINCHOR

Enjoy an excursion to the immense Casamance River. Visit Djilapao and Affiniam villages to see impluvium houses and meet the locals. Return by boat at sunset. ^back to top

Day 4 ZIGUINCHOR / TEAK FOREST / DJIBELOR FARM / ZIGUINCHOR

Explore Teak Forest, then head to Djibelor Farm, where countless species of exotic flowers, healing plants and fruit trees are cultivated. Lunch in the Farm restaurant, with the possibility of trying crocodile meat. Return to Ziguinchor, where a dance and percussion show will be performed by a group of young artists from the Boucotte neighborhood. ^back to top

Day 5 ZIGUINCHOR / BIGNONA / BAILA / BIOULOULOU / KAFOUNTINE / ZIGUINCHOR

En-route to Abéné we will visit the small town of Bignona and the villages of Baila and Diouloulou. We will arrive for lunch at Kafountine (Senegal’s little Jamaica). In the afternoon we head to Abéné to enjoy its deserted beaches. ^back to top

Day 6 ZIGUINCHOR / ENAMPORE / MLOMP / ZIGUINCHOR

Excursion to discover the Diolas Villages deep in the Lower Casamance Reserve. Start with Enampore and its impluvium houses, the Sacred Tree and the Telephone Tam-Tam. Have lunch at Oussouye. The next stop is Mlomp, with its huge trees, the original multilevel houses and the Diola Ancient Relics Exhibit. Return to Ziguinchor through forest paths, among rice cultivations and palm trees. ^back to top

Day 7 ZIGUINCHOR / CAP SKIRRING / KABROUSSE / DJEMBERING / ZIGUINCHOR

Depart to Cap Skirring and its wonderful sandy beaches. Visit Kabrousse and Djembering villages and have lunch in a restaurant facing the ocean. Spend an afternoon dedicated to the ocean waves and fresh waters, sunbathing and relaxing under the cool shadows of coconut trees. Return to Ziguinchor in the early evening. Complete your evening with a visit to a local night club (weekends only). ^back to top

Day 8 ZIGUINCHOR / DEPART

Spend the morning doing last minute souvenir shopping or relaxing. Prepare for your onward flight. ^back to top
