Day 1 (Friday) - Apr 18, 2008 -

DEPART NEW YORK
Depart New York’s JFK airport approximately at 7:40 PM on South Royal Air Maroc connecting in Casablanca.

Day 2 (Saturday) - Apr 19, 2008 -

CASABLANCA AND RABAT, MOROCCO
Your flight arrive Casablanca at 6.40 AM. You are met, assisted and transferred to a nearby hotel to refresh and have breakfast. Later this morning we begin our city tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city. We will visit the Walled Ramparts of the Old Medina, the imposing Hassan II Mosque, and drive along the seaside Corniche. After lunch, we continue to Rabat, an Imperial City with a rich history of Kingdoms and a collage of architectural styles. We will visit the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Andalous Gardens. In the evening return to Casablanca for dinner and relaxation before departing at 11:00 PM flight to Senegal.

Day 3 (Sunday) - Apr 20, 2008 -

DAKAR, CITY TOUR
Arrive in Dakar early morning. You are met, assisted and transferred to your hotel, have breakfast, (on your own), refresh and relax until your early afternoon city tour of Metropolitan Dakar. Visit the colorful markets including Tilen Market, famous for a variety of medicinal herbs and traditional healers. Visit the picturesque residential district of Medina. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 (Monday) - Apr 21, 2008 -

GOREE ISLAND
This morning visit the famous/infamous Goree Island, a World Heritage Site. Observe the "Door of No Return". The tour includes a visit to the ethnographic museum and a lecture by the curator on the history of Goree Island.

Day 5 (Tuesday) - Apr 22, 2008 -

PINK LAKE/SAINT LOUIS
After Breakfast, depart to Saint Louis located in the north of Senegal. En route take a tour of Pink Lake, a rare natural phenomenon caused by a unique combination of microorganism and high concentration of salts which gives the lake its pink color. Interact with the women harvesting salt, visit the Fulani village where you will be welcomed by the Chief and his wives. Continue to Saint Louis. In the afternoon, city tour of Saint Louis including a visit to the fishing village of Guet Ndar.

Day 6 (Wednesday) - Apr 23, 2008 -

SAINT LOUIS/TOUBA/SALY RESORT
After breakfast, return to Saly Resort. En route stop at Touba. Visit Grand Mosque, which is the largest and most beautiful in West Africa, visit the tomb of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke, the founder of Mouridism. After lunch continue to Saly Resort for dinner and overnight

Day 7 (Thursday) - Apr 24, 2008 -

SALY RESORT/SALOUM ISLANDS/THE GAMBIA
After breakfast, depart for The Gambia. En route visit the Saloum Islands including a traditional village where you will interact with the villagers and the village chief.

Day 8 (Friday) - Apr 25, 2008 -

BANJUL/CRUISE
Cruise on the river Gambia where dolphins will generally show their presence. Stop at a Mandingo Village to experience the village life. Be entertained by a mini cultural festival. The river meanders its way from Banjul on the Atlantic coast through typical African villages for miles into the interior of Africa. Visit historical places like James Island, Albreda Slave Market and Juffure, ancestral village of the late author Alex Haley.

Day 9 (Saturday) - Apr 26, 2008 -

BANJUL CITY TOUR
After breakfast, tour the city of Banjul. Visit the markets, museums, Batik factories, monuments and other points of interest. In the afternoon, optional visit to the S.O.S children's home where you may assist with making a child feel wanted.

Day 10 (Sunday) - Apr 27, 2008 -

BANJUL/DEPART
After breakfast this morning is at leisure. You may use the time to test your bargaining skills on the local vendors. This afternoon depart to Senegal. Stop for a buffet dinner before arriving in Dakar late evening.
