Day 1 ARRIVE IN ARUSHA

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to your hotel in Arusha. ^back to top

Day 2 CLIMB

Breakfast, drive from your hotel to Marangu gate, we will spend a moderate amount of time for registration. We start climbing through dense semi-tropical growth to the first hut- Mandara hut (9,000ft). Dinner and overnight at Mandara hut Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ^back to top

Day 3 CLIMB

Breakfast, ascend through the alpine meadows, grassland and moorland to Horombo hut (12,000ft). Both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks can be viewed easily on the way. Dinner and an overnight at Horombo hut Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ^back to top

Day 4 CLIMB

Breakfast, further ascending to Kibo hut (15,000ft). The landscape becomes very stony and rough. Spectacular mountain vegetation like giant cactus, groundswell and lobelia appear on the way. Dinner and overnight at Kibo hut Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ^back to top

Day 5 CLIMB

Awake at midnight, after a snack, proceed to the summit through Gilman’s point (18,640ft). You will reach Uhuru Peak (19,340ft in the early morning and start descending after picture taking on the top to Horombo hut. Overnight at Kibo hut Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner ^back to top

Day 6 CLIMB

Breakfast, Descend from Horombo hut to Marangu gate. Transfer to your accommodation in Arusha Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch ^back to top

Day 7 DEPART

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or extended tour begins. B. Alternatively: One may choose 6days/5nights, with an extra day for acclimatization at Horombo hut, which will increase his/her chance to reach the top. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast ^back to top
