Serengeti Wildlife Safari 10-days

Day 1

ARRIVE IN DAR ES SALAAM/ARUSHA
International flight arrives in Dar Es Salaam, take a short flight to Arusha, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel

Day 2

MT. MERU VILLAGE VISIT
Our journey starts in a village nestled on the slopes of Mt. Meru,. You immediately experience the extraordinary warmth and kindness of the Tanzanian people. More than 80% of Tanzanians live as subsistent agriculturists. Today you will experience an introduction to their rural lives and daily activities. We return to our lodge late in the afternoon.

Day 3

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
At Tarangire National Park you will find a geologic landscape as diverse as the wildlife, with nine distinct vegetation zones ranging from savanna grassland to wooded thickets, and from deep gully vegetation to sparse rocky hilltops. Dotted with ancient baobab trees, the Tarangire River valley attracts abundant wildlife including elephant, lion, antelope, buffalo, and giraffe, as well as an array of vibrantly colored birds. Enjoy the stunning scenery from your private veranda at the secluded, luxurious safari lodge.

Day 4

Day 5

NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
After breakfast, we head into the Ngorongoro Highlands, entering these lush foothills as temperatures become cooler and the landscape becomes greener. Along the way, you will enjoy an abundance of interesting game viewing. You arrive at beautiful Gibbs Farm, an organic farm and working coffee plantation, for lunch. This afternoon, you can stroll through gorgeous gardens, try to spot some of the over 300 birds on the property or enjoy afternoon tea by a sea of lillies and bougainvillea.

Day 6

NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, we head up to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where the view onto the crater floor, 2,000 feet below, will astound you. For the next day and a half, we'll witness an unforgettable spectacle of African wildlife - a teeming world of elephants, rhinoceros, lions, hyenas, zebras, herds of wildebeest, and gazelle to name a few, living in perfect balance in this self contained environment.

Day 7

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
En route to the Serengeti stop at Olduvai Gorge. It was in these desolate gullies that the jawbone of Zinjanthropus 'Man' was discovered by the dedicated Leakey family. The Gorge Museum exhibits their methods and remarkable finds. We arrive in the heart of wild Africa, the great Serengeti, where endless plains roll into the distance as far as the eye can see. Herds of animals run swiftly across vast open spaces and predators hunt their prey. Spend two days amidst this incredible untamed wilderness where lion, elephant, cheetah, warthog, and literally millions of hoofed animals roam. Your first night will be spent at a comfortable lodge in the central Serengeti, and then l move further north to the luxury of the Classic Camp. In your remote bush home you will receive personalized attention from the camp staff. Enjoy sumptious meals and evenings by the campfire, under an African sky lit brightly with millions of stars.

Day 10

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK /DEPART
After a full morning in the Serengeti, fly back to Arusha for lunch. Day rooms are provided to refresh and relax before your evening transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
