The National Museum in Accra, Ghana houses ethnographic, archaeological, and fine art exhibits. The museum was opened in 1957 as part of Ghana's independence celebration.
Archaeological artifacts give us a look into life as far back as the Stone Age. Ethnographic displays include leather work, textiles, wood carvings, a full traditional kitchen, traditional instruments, and more. Paintings and sculptures of modern artists are also on display.
