It was built by the Pakistani Scientist, the architect of Pakistan's nuclear programme, Abdul Qadeer Khan, who had amassed properties at home and abroad and transported fancy carved furniture to the hotel by an air force plane.

Hendrina Khan hotel, named after Dr Khan's Dutch wife, in the city of Timbuktu

The architecture of this hotel is one of the most unusual I've found anywhere in the world, and so for that reason it's worth the expense. The French-Swiss owners are very accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance of the bachee/bus station in town, which is the center of Bandiagara.
The hotel has the amenities of a 2 star hotel
A newly luxurious 4-star Hotel built in Sikasso, Hotel du Cinquantenaire is right at the entrance of the city from Bamako. The Hotel charmingly renders your stay pleasant in the South of Mali with its comforts and the quality of its services.
