After breakfast depart to Kumasi, the realm of the ancient Ashanti Kingdom of Gold. En route we stop at a village to interact with the villages and learn about their unique culture and daily activities. Continue to Kumasi where we arrive late afternoon. Time permitting; we will visit the facilities of Anglo-Ashanti Goldfields before checking into Hotel

After breakfast we will visit the Kumasi Central Market, the largest open-air market in West Africa, where more than 10.000 traders ply their wares. Our second stop is the village of Ntonso where artisans hand-stamp patterns on cotton cloth to make Adinkra textiles that are worn for funerals and other solemn occasions. Our third village is Bonwire, where the famous Royal Kente cloth is handmade on looms, in a time-honored tradition passed down through generations. After lunch our tour continues with a visit to Manhiyia Palace and museum where we will learn the history of the Ashanti people.

Depart to Cape Coast and Elmina, arriving early afternoon for brief tour of the city of Cape Coast and before checking in to your accommodation for the next two nights, Elmina Beach Resort. Late afternoon tour of Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site where slaves were held before being sent to the Americas.

After breakfast, drive to Kakum National Park for a Nature Walk in the Rain Forest. Experience the Aerial Canopy Walkway- which extends s over 150 feet above the forest floor giving you a birds-eye view of the forest. After lunch return to Cape Coast where you will visit Cape Coast Castle, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Overnight at Elmina Beach Resort or Similar

After breakfast, return to Accra, arriving early afternoon in Aburi for lunch and a visit to the 100 year-old Aburi Botanical Gardens. Mid-afternoon visit the woodcarvers and drum makers of Aburi before continuing to Accra. Evening at leisure before late night departure flight OR EXTENDED TOUR BEGINS.
