Today you will have a brief orientation on Wildlife Conservation in Ghana by a retired Wildlife Conservationist. This shall look at their main stream government wildlife setup systems and policy.
Afterwards, you will visit the Ghana Wild Life Society. Here you will hear about the complimentary efforts by NGOs in support of wildlife conservation in Ghana.

Receive a packed lunch for the trip and depart.
Travel to the Asiakwa SOS Village for a  4 hour visit including interaction with children. Visit the Aburi Botanical Garden where you will learn about various plants of medicinal value among others.

After breakfast, depart on a guided tour of the Akosombo dam. Enjoy an arial view from Volta Hotel and the top of the dam. This afternoon you'll have lunch on a Dodi Princess cruise along the Volta River.

Depart for Ho (app. 1hour drive)

Depart after breakfast with a packed lunch and visit Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary. Drive to Nkwanta (1 hour) and visit World Vision Offices in Nkwanta.

Today you visit the University of Development Studies. Meet with a local Peace Corps Volunteer (tentative)/Rusodef (a local NGO into community social development).

After group lunch, visit theTamale central market.

Pick up a packed lunch and depart Tamale.

Arrive in Larabanga and visit the Larabanga Mosque and mystery stone (2.5 hr drive). Continue to Mole National Park for an evening  Safari.

Today you will have early morning Game viewing at Mole National Park. Rest and enjoy the swimming pool or have quiet time at the view post overlooking the dam. After lunch you visit the Morgunori village. Experience typical village life by interacting with the villagers and  river eco-tourism.

After breakfast depart for Kumasi with a packed lunch. Stop at Kintampo Water Falls.

Arrive in Kumasi.

In the morning, visit the Kumasi Central Market (also known as Kejetia Market), the largest open-air market in West Africa. Next, meet with an Ashanti leader. Visit Manhyia Palace, which remains in use by the Asantehene (the ruler of the Ashanti people) today and houses a small historical museum.

Visit the Kumasi Cultural Center and make a final stop in the village of Ntonso where artisans hand-stamp patterns on cotton cloth to make adinkra textiles.

After breakfast depart for Nzulezu. En route, visit the Ashanti rich gold mine town of Obuasi. Travel to the Nzulezu Village on Stilts. next, take a guided tour of Egyambra Crocodile Sanctuary.

Continue to Elmina.

Today you take an early morning tour of Elmina Castle. Travel to Kakum National Park where you will have lunch at Hans Cottage. Next, go on a guided 3 hour primary forest tour and hike.

Later, listen to the Unique Bamboo Orchestra.

After breakfast, visit the fish markets next to the Castle. Visit fish processors at Volta Village

Attend a 10am lecture at the US Embassy  and a University of Ghana orientation on university life in Ghana. Take a tour of the university.

Meetings at CGIAR – coalition of NGOs including IFPRi working on agriculture and water research NGOs

Teshie Fantasy Coffins. Free night for cell outing. Latest return time to Novotel should be 11:00pm.

There would be four options and students are to choose one. These are Poloma (Ring Road Central), Next Door (Teshie Coast), Monsoon (Oxford Street Osu) and Osikan (High street). Usually you do not get life music on a Thursday night. Student will pay for meals themselves.

Tour guides shall be on site to ensure their safety and coordinate pick up.
