Day 1 Arrive In Cairo

On arrival in Cairo, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2 Cairo

Visit The Egyptian Museum of antiquities where a vast treasure of numerous objects made of gold, bronze, alabaster, silver from Egypt's most glamorous times are exhibited; including the new mummy room and the objects from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Continue to Old Cairo, the Coptic area of Cairo where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. You will see the ruins of the fortress towers of the church of St. Mary, more commonly known as the Hanging Church. Have dinner on the Citadel Cruise along The Nile.

Day 3 Giza Plateau - Memphis - Sakkara

Tour of The Pyramids of Giza, including the famous Sphinx and the museum, where the remains of the Solar Boat of Cheops are displayed. In the afternoon drive to Sakkara, the ancient "Necropolis" of the Old Kingdom's Capital. Visit other pyramids and tombs, including "The Step Pyramid", the oldest known Pyramid. In the evening, visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, an Oriental Bazaar that goes back to the 10th century. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 4 Cairo - Alexandria - Cairo

In the morning, drive to Alexandria, "The Pearl of the Mediterranean," built by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C. The highlights of the tour include the Greco-Roman Museum, which showscases the history and archaeology during the Roman Era; Fort of Qaitbey, which was built in the 1480's by Sultan Qaitbey, houses the Lighthouse of Pharos, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; the Pillar of Pompey which is the tallest ancient monument in Alexandria; and the Ancient Catacombs of Kom El-Shuqafa which dates back to the first century AD.

Day 5 Cairo - El-Menyia

After breakfast, tour the Manial Palace, built for Prince Mohamed Ali. View the beautiful gardens and the family's memorabilia that includes a collection of manuscripts, carpets, textiles, brass work and crystal. Continue to the Cairo Tower, the most prominent building in Cairo. Enjoy the panoramic view while having lunch on the top floor of the tower. After lunch, drive to El-Menyia and overnight.

Overnight at Mercure Nefertiti & Aton or Similar

Day 6 El-Menyia - Tuna El Gabal - Beni Hasan

Tour El-Menyia,  visiting the city's sites including the great plain where Akhenaton received his divine inspiration to build his city. Continue to Tuna El Gabal. Highlights will include the tomb of Petosiris, Ibis Catacombs & Isadora Tomb (This tomb dates back to the 2nd century AD and belongs to Isadora, renowned for her beauty in the city of Hermopolis). After lunch, drive to Beni Hasan. Visit the Bakhet III tomb (Bakhet III was the Governor of the Oryx Nome), Khnumhotep tomb (Khnumhotep was a governor under Amenemhat III in the 12th dynasty) & Khety tomb (Tomb of a governor in the 11th dynasty). Finish the day in ancient Amarna, the once famous capital of Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti, who in the 14th century BC broke away from the polytheistic temples and traditions of Thebes and built a new city based around the worship of Aten, a solar deity - perhaps the world's first monotheistic diety.

Day 7 Dendara & Abydos – Luxor

After breakfast, go on a full day tour of Dendara and Abydos temples. Abydos is the temple dedicated to the ancient Egyptian God Osiris and the Pharaoh Seti I. This temple contains some of Egypt's finest relief carvings including the Flower of Life symbol. Dendara has been revered as a center for the Goddess Hathor, Goddess of love, beauty and joy since the period of the old kingdom. In the evening, visit the Temple of Luxor built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun and see it's gigantic statues and obelisks. Overnight in Luxor on the cruse ship.

Overnight at Presidential Nile Cruises or Similar

Day 8 Luxor - Esna - Edfu

In the morning, visit the temple of Karnak and the temple of Luxor. In the afternoon, sail to Esna. Then, cross the lock. Later, cruise to Edfu and overnight.

Day 9 Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

In the morning, visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Then, sail to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, visit the temple shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris.  Later, cruise to Aswan for overnight.

Day 10 Aswan

In the morning, visit of the High Dam and the temple of Philae. In the afternoon, get a view of Elephantine Island by felucca (sailing boat) and see the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 11 Aswan - Abu Simbel

Today, tour Abu Simbel the site of the two Temples of Abu Simbel which are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt due to their unique style. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the floods.  Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo.
