Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive In Cairo

Upon arrival in Egypt you will be met by our and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight at Safir Hotel or Similar

Day 2 Cairo / Pyramids / Sphinx / Memphis / Saqqara

After breakfast, we will visit the Giza Plateau to see pyramids and The Great Sphinx, which dates back to 3000 B.C.

After lunch, we will continue to Memphis, capital of the pharaohs during the Old Kingdom to see the statue of Ramesses II and the 80-ton alabaster sphinx. We will also go to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid, which has preserved murals of the afterlife and the daily life in Ancient Egypt.

Transfer to the train station in the evening to catch the sleeper train to Luxor.

Dinner and overnight in the sleeping train.

Overnight at Safir Hotel or Similar

Day 3 Cairo / Museum / Alabaster Mosque & Citadel / Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar

After breakfast, you will drive through the streets of Cairo, on your way to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities for a guided tour of its amazing collection of artifacts from Ancient Egypt dating back to 5000 BC. Some of the collections are golden items of the tomb of the young king Tut-Ankh-Amen and the preserved mummies room that are 4 thousand years old. You will also get some free time to take pictures at the museum.

In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Citadel of Saladin (the Hero in the Kingdom of Heaven) and the Amazing and Gigantic Alabaster-Mosque of Muhammad Ali to explore the History of Islam and the Crusaders in the middle ages.

In late afternoon; you will visit the Khan El Khalili Bazar, dated back to the 10th Century; where you will stroll through the bazaar and see artisans at work.

Overnight at Safir Hotel or Similar

Day 4 Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo

After breakfast, you will go on a full day tour to the ancient City of Alexandria "The Pearl of the Mediterranean" aka. Alexandria, built by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C. The highlights of your tour will include: The Greco-Roman Museum, which shows the history and Archeology during the Roman Era.

Fort of Qaitbey, built in the 1480's by Sultan Qaitbey houses the Light house of Pharos which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient World.

The Pillar of Pompey which is the tallest ancient monument in Alexandria.

The Ancient Catacombs of Kom El-Shuqafa which dates back to the first century AD.

The great library of Alexandria. Drive back to Cairo in time to catch the sleeper car to Luxor.

Overnight and dinner in sleeper car.

Day 5 Cairo / Luxor / West Bank / Karnak / Cairo

We will start our tour of Luxor upon arrival by crossing the West Bank of the Nile to visit the wondrous Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs of 62 pharaohs were discovered. These tombs are carved deep into the desert mountains; they are richly decorated and filled with treasures of the pharaoh’s afterlife.

We will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut; the beautiful monument that represents the reign of the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.

We will stop at the famed Colossi of Memnon, a thousand ton statues of Amenhotep III; these statues were known by the ancient Greeks to emit haunting voices at dawn.

After lunch, visit the Karnak Temple, which is the largest place of worship ever built. This complex was built over two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. We will return to Cairo by sleep car in evening.

Overnight and dinner in sleeper car.

Day 6 Cairo / Depart

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
