Kwara Camp

Location
Kwara Camp is located in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delt a within the private Kwara concession. It is a remote wilderness area in excess of 1700 square kilometers bordering the Moremi Reserve .

Kwara is an abbreviated form of a Tswana expression meaning "where the pelicans feed". Deep pools, seasonally fed by subterranean springs, dry up more slowly than their more shallow counterparts but when they do, the concentration of fish causes a pelican feeding frenzy.

Additional Information Locally the camp manager will suggest options that are feasible depending on local conditions: a leisurely boat ride; four wheel drive in a safari vehicle or walking. An armed ranger will escort you through some of the finest game walking country along the shores of the delta. Equipped with a radio in the event of any assistance that may be required, you can experience the real wild. Apart from the regular activities, other activities include boat and mokoro rides, game walks and night drives.

Children Policy · Children over 12 welcome · Children 8 - 12 years permitted provided they are on a private vehicle or on a family safari. Younger than 8 years permitted, as above, but only in the green season (Nov - June). All children pay full rate.
